Frescoes of antiquity are often covered up or erased but many reappear by way of natural erosion and are enhanced by more recent graffiti. Old imagery inspires new. These works offer glimpses into our human condition and reveal how our records of the past are constantly transforming. ‘History’, always a work of fiction, reveals only the truth of human nature.
